PALETTE FOR NEW CHALLENGE
Talk about a strange winter here in Quebec. We got up yesterday with a light snow storm and today it's raining. You know, usually at this time of year we are sleigh ridding in the forest with 30 cm of snow on the ground. I'm not even sure we have 5cm right now.
Canadians love winter. Our four seasons are important to us and many companies depends on this for their business. It's going to be difficult.
Back to painting: I have determined the color palette I will be using for the painting. This was lots of fun. So many colors to choose from.
From left to right:
DS. Hansa yellow light, Sap green, Hooker Green, DS. Phtalo Green, DS. Phtalo Blue, Indian Yellow, DS.Quinachidone Sienna, DS. Burnt Sienna, Permanent Rose, Alizarin Crimson, Quinacridone Magenta, Permanent Magenta, Winsor Purple and Ultramarine Blue.
DS = Daniel Smith and the rest is Winsor Newton colors.
I started the painting last night. It's going to be fun but scary. I love to do big paintings but this one is pretty large. We'll see with time.
See you later. Have a wonderful day my friends and thank you for stopping by.
